Kildonan, Isle of Arran
Seacrest is a detached seaside holiday cottage. It is south facing in an idyllic location situated on the shore road in ‘Low Kildonan’ on the Island of Arran off Scotland’s west coast enjoying superb uninterrupted views of the Kildonan shore, the islands of Pladda and Ailsa Craig and the Mull of Kintyre.
There is a large garden to the front of the house leading down to the beach and excellent peaceful walks along the shore with a variety of wildlife including seals, otters, the occasional dolphin and numerous sea birds which may be seen from the cottage.
Arran is one of Scotland’s most beautiful West Coast islands. It is considered to be ‘Scotland in Miniature’ and easily reached by a short 55 minute ferry crossing from the mainland. Seacrest is 12 miles from Brodick the main town and ferry terminal. The post office/village shop and fully licensed hotel are 5–10 minutes walk along the sea front. The local bus stops at the house.
Bird watching, sea kayaking, pony-trekking, beach combing, fresh water and sea fishing, 7 Golf courses with spectacular scenery, fantastic walks, mountain bike trails, cycling, mountain climbs - the highest being Goat Fell at 2866 feet. There are also Sea Trips by RIB around Arran, the Holy Isle and to the nearby Island Ailsa Craig, castles to visit and much more to see and do.
